Home for Christmas...

So I'm home for Christmas.... 

What a time. The first three days of my vacation I slept in three different time zones... I'm not going to lie that was a little tolling on my body. I'm here though, finally home. It's funny though I think of home as Rexburg, Idaho, more than I think of home here where I am. My mother is in Iran, my father in Louisiana, and my brother in Atlanta... I've moved around quite a few times so it's hard to choose a place where I'd call home... Where in this world do I feel most at home? In this snowy little town called Rexburg... 

I decided that I love the snow, but I can't drive in it and that's why I hate it. I have a very light weight car so it seems to swish around even when I'm careful! It scares me! SO that is why I would ever disown the snow, because of my own fault of not being able to drive in it. 

I love trying to figure things out and realizing that in the end it's only but faith that will help me carry me on

I love Christmas. I love my Savior and the time of year he brings at this moment. It's such a wonderful time to be in. 

Basically I've done nothing exciting though just chillin out at home. It's nice. Well hope to have some exciting things to put up soon!

Spirit Conference Extravaganza!

I feel so blessed for my experiences here at BYU-Idaho. I love it so much. I joined the SSE ( Student Spirit Events) This past summer and I have absolutely loved it! It's been amazing! This semester I was given the opportunity to be a mentor this semester and it seriously was the most amazing moment of my semester, in all honesty! 

This was my mentor group!!! We were such a fun group! I seriously felt that Heavenly Father put us together. We had such an awesome moment in the bus and we shared our favorite scripture thanks to Cassie, and it was such a spiritual moment! We grew so close to each other in that small moment in time! I love this gospel looks how it creates friends! 
The most amazing thing we did was called the SPIRIT CHALLENGE. This is what I feel is one of the greatest object lessons of the Tree of Life ever! I love this gospel. I've always been a part of it but I've never watched it and it was such a testimony building moment of my life. Oh my... I love life.

This is a weekend I needed so bad. I loved the bonding and love of Christ and God and the feelings that I have for the Gospel.

Christ, my Savior, my everything...

I feel so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Everyday I wonder why I was so blessed to be given this gospel. I have had some pretty trying times lately and so I called one of my best friend's Ashley. She is so amazing, and she really really helped me a lot and is always there for me. These are just a few quotes from the brethren that have made me feel better in times that I felt were hard and low. I love the comforting words of our apostles.

Thanksgiving Day...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I feel a little lonely today on the day of thanks.... I miss my family ( although I did have thanksgiving at my former Bishop's place, which I'm so grateful for) but I decided to lift my spirits I'd type out what I'm thankful for....

I've been Tagged!!!

So this is the fourth picture in my fourth album on my computer as of right now.. 

The boy in the left is Daniel and the boy in the right is David. These are two good guy friends of mine whom which are both newly married. They were in my ward over the summer and this picture was in Alpine chalet Lounge we were waiting for a friend of ours to open his mission call!!  Anyways, I'm super tired... so i have to go to bed... goodnight all.... 

Confusion...

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said these few things:

Sometimes I think to myself that I cause my own confusion for life... The answer is my Heavenly Father, right? But sometimes he doesn't give you the answer.... sometimes he wants you to figure it out on your own... sometimes he trusts you enough... but what... what if you don't trust yourself 

The sunrise comes out of the east

My heart thumps louder than those in Edgar's thoughts (The Tell-Tale Heart) 

and my eyelids are feeling heavy 

My thoughts tire me out

but I still hear that voice calling out to me

I really need to rely on the Lord more... I don't enough... I say that I have faith and trust him but still worry.. but honestly I'm more worried about making the right choices in my life.... I guess he will never let me go the wrong way so I should just decide and go with it! 

Oh life... *sigh* 

I love the Temple

I had a rough day today... devotional hit my heart pretty hard and I sat with a friend afterwards and cried for about an hour 

He told me that I have to go to the Temple and pray and read my patriarchal blessing... 

I was at first thinking I don't have time, but my friend said I had to... it would make me feel better... and I so I went to the temple... As I was sitting there  in front of the doors of the baptisms and I saw a bunch of students going in and I asked if they had a baptismal appt. I recognized one of the girls and we were chatting.... 

I got this feeling that I should join them in the baptisms... I thought to myself I don't have time," orchid just pray, feel better and LEAVE you have tons to do... "

Well I remembered how I have been getting the feeling to follow prompting... SO I did... I followed the prompting and went ahead and joined them for baptisms! 

As I sat there I read my patriarchal blessing and it kind of made me feel good to know the things that I will be blessed with if I make sure and follow my Heavenly Father.... I then decided to start reading the Book of Mormon. I started reading Ether 2 and in Ether 2 if you go to the last verse :

Ether 2:25, " ANd behold, I prepare you against these things; for ye cannot cross this great deep save I prepare you against the waves of the sea, and the winds which have gone forth, and the floods which shall come. Therefore what will ye that I should prepare for you that ye may have light when ye are swallowed up in the depths of the sea?"

I learned from that scripture and the story of Ether 2 that I can't live life without my Heavenly Father. I need him, only he can get me through the storm, he'll be my breathe of life from the hole of the barge, and he will be my light in the dark, just as he was blessing the brother of Jared. Oh I love the Scriptures...

I left feeling amazing... I felt so much better... I love the Temple and I have such a great testimony of it... I can't wait until I am able to receive my endowments, I know I will LOVE it and be so excited to go to sessions all the time! I love the Temple and I want to spend my life preparing for it and living as if I am already endowed so that nothing will stop me when it is time to go for myself! Oh how I LOVE the TEMPLE!!!

I found him my Romeo, the one that I wanted to be with forever.... but there lied a problem I couldn't be with him forever it hurts alot sometimes.... Even a year later I still am hurting

I found him why do I have to search again.... I almost don't want to.

I know I'm the worst blogger in the whole world, but I just feel like I have to blog about something really exciting.... I was informed by Brighton, my amazing roommate that it didn't have to be that exciting. Well I actually have a few exciting things to blog about:

1) I was called to be the Director of ITEAM next semester! I am so excited! It's going to be a load of work, but so worth it! I'm so excited to be able to be with the SSE and to use the spirit to add a great time to the students on this campus!! 

2) I went bouldering for the first time. I got blisters all over my hands and it was wonderful! I loved it! It's hard and it takes a lot of muscle, which I don't have, but it was so fun... 

3) Finally I went Country Dancing tonight for the first time!! It was so fun and I loved it so much!! I am going to go next week too! I am really bad at Country Dancing, but it's okay perfection takes practice right? 

Anyways sadly I don't have pictures from any of these exciting events, but I'll make sure to work on that. I love my roommates they're amazing, and I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I am so blessed to have them in my life. GOod night World... 

So the semester begins...

This semester has begun and I'm soo busy! I'm sorry it's taken me forever to update my blog! It has been a crazy semester!!! Working, going to school, hanging out with friends, dating, working out, being involved on campus! I feel like there isn't one minute to breathe! 

This is a picture of Brad and Tiffani seeing each other for the first time in about two weeks! They are soo cute! Brad just got back from his mission in Brazil in August and he goes up here at BYU-Idaho and Tiffani is an amazing girl who goes to BYU! She's one of my best friends! 
That's Travis Williams! He got back from his mission in July!!! He's my brother! I love this boy he spoke at my Baptism... Talk on the HOly Ghost! What an impact he and his family has made on me! 
I woke up at 5:50am last saturday when Tiffani was visiting and I have no idea why I woke up so early... I was sad but with my time I decided I'd make breakfast for my friends and roommates... it was fun  :) those hashbrowns were made from scratch! 
That's Dalan's Soccer Team. I went and watched them play! They won!!! I got the juice boxes and rice krispies like you'd get when you were a kid on a soccer team!

So the semester is going! It's Conference weekend right now and I'm loving it. We've only seen the first session  but I already feel like I've gotten so much out of it. Wow I love the power of the Spirit that our General Authorities bring into our lives. What a blessing it is. I love LIFE!! 

It's been way too long.. 

It's been quite the semester already... 

I'm such a busy girl but it's soo much fun!!!

Brighton Fun!

Me and my roommate Brighton are crazy... at 2am we decide that we want to take crazy photos of ourselves on the Photobooth on my Mac.... Oh college girls... what do you do with them!?

School has begun!

This is the picture of the first day of school. I have no make up going to my first class... ew... oh well ha ha.... 

So school has begun. We got a brand new ward and I don't know how I feel about it yet... hopefully it gets better no body has really gotten together at all... sadness

My classes are going to be a ton of work but it'll be okay and I'm really busy because I work two part time jobs and I am pretty involved on campus so I'm going to be so busy... 

Oh my... I love everyone... and I just gave a really funny apartment prayer... haha

I love my little brother..

So growing up me and my little brother always loved each other but would fight like cats & dogs! We would scream & yell, scratch & kick... we were awful!!! But now him being 20 and I, 21, we are a lot more mature.... well.... not really.... ha ha

So me and my brother always think that this face is so cute and funny and we both look very much alike when we do it.... 

I was having a really hard day one day and I got a text from my little brosef saying, " Go check out my facebook picture." And to my surprise the picture below was his profile picture
Is that not the funniest thing you've ever seen. It seriously brighten my day sooo much I loved it! I love my little brother. He's bigger then me ( 6'2) and stronger then me and smarter then me, but he's still my baby brother and he makes me laugh so much! I love him!

Wild Weekend!!!

So I had a wild weekend! As seen in my last post I went down to Bountiful Thursday and Friday  for Luke & Mary's wedding and had a blast! Then Saturday I had Lorie Ann & Mason's wedding that was beautiful and soo much fun! And then that evening the Akin family came in and we all prepared for the BIG BASH that was for Ashley, Michelle, Greg, Deagan, and Ryan! It was a Birthday party for all! This weekend was so much fun! But time to get down to business I have a Showcase to DIRECT!! AH! 

So this is Ashley, my roommate, and her boyfriend Mike. They are sooo fun! This was at the birthday party!

Luke & Mary's Wedding!!!

So All of these pictures are backwards kind of.... the first ones are from today and the last ones are from yesterday... Anyways... I drove down to Kaysville/Syracuse/Bountiful Utah yesterday and spent the most amazing two days with the most amazing families ever! I felt soo loved by the Remingtons and by the Alleys and these two days weren't even for me! They were for LUKE & MARY!! They got Married! These are some of my bestfriends!! I knew them both before they were dating, then I knew them while they were dating and now I saw them get married! It's been the coolest Experience!!

As I was driving home I saw the mountains and thought about the wedding I just got to be a part of... the sealing between two bestfriends for eternity... and AMAZING wonderful families that are going to be sealed forever through these two amazing people and just thought..... How blessed we are to have this gospel.... how blessed we are to know God....
